My favorites list!

Full Capacity Living...

Every so often, I like highlighting a few of my favorite clean, non-toxic, and truly supportive tools for living well.

These are the products, practices, and resources I personally use and recommend because they align with a functional medicine approach—supporting the body’s natural rhythms, reducing hidden stressors, and creating more vitality in daily life.

Think of this list as a curated guide: simple, effective, and intentionally chosen to help you feel clear, energized, and aligned with your healthiest self.

A few teas for the coming fall season are highlighted here...so good!

You might want to put this in your saved list or share with your friends.

These are products that I am often asked about so if it creates an "aha" moment for you my job is done!

  1. Basil seeds:

Basil seeds (also called sabja or tukmaria) are tiny nutrient powerhouses rich in fiber, plant compounds, and essential minerals. They support healthy digestion, help regulate blood sugar, and promote satiety—making them a great ally for weight balance.

Naturally cooling, they’re often used in traditional medicine to ease bloating, soothe acidity, and support hydration. With antioxidants and omega-3 fats, basil seeds also contribute to reduced inflammation and overall metabolic health. Add them to make a basil seed pudding or yogurt (think chia seed pudding) or drink them with water/nut milk. https://a.co/d/d5NhqP9

2. Pukka Three Ginger tea:

Pukka’s Three Ginger Tea blends organic ginger, galangal, and golden turmeric into a warming, spicy infusion. Ginger and galangal are known for their ability to support digestion, ease nausea, and gently boost circulation. Turmeric adds powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, helping to calm the body and support joint and immune health.

Together, these roots create a vibrant tea that not only soothes the stomach but also energizes and revitalizes—perfect as a daily ritual for warmth, balance, and wellbeing. https://a.co/d/hPnkE0r

3. Traditional Medicinals Turmeric and Ginger tea:

This warming blend combines two powerful roots long celebrated in ayurvedic medicine. Turmeric provides curcumin, a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound that supports joint health, digestion, and immune resilience.

Ginger complements with its soothing effects on the digestive system, natural anti-nausea properties, and gentle support for circulation.

Together, turmeric and ginger create a nourishing daily ritual that calms inflammation, supports detox pathways, and strengthens overall vitality.

4. Nuzest protein powder: A frequent question I hear from clients is, "What protein powder do you trust and recommend?" Although I don't want to rely on these, whole food/real food is the go to but having a bit of an extra boost to protein can be really supportive. This one is a recent favorite since it is clean and simple.

Nuzest uses thaumatin, a natural sweetener derived from the katemfe fruit (often called the West African katemfe). Unlike common sweeteners like stevia, thaumatin is actually a protein, not a carbohydrate—or artificial chemical. This gives it a sweet taste with no bitter aftertaste, making it a standout in clean protein formulas

Whole-Food Origin: Sourced from fruit, not synthesized or highly processed—a priority in functional nutrition.

Clean Taste, Clean Formulation: Users report a smooth, creamy taste with no harsh or chemical aftertaste.

Low in Carbs and Calories: Being a protein itself, it doesn’t add sugars or carbs, making the protein low-carb and IR-friendly.

Well-Tolerated: Especially helpful for those sensitive to other natural sweeteners like stevia, which can cause digestive discomfort or immune reactions.

5. Golde Frother:

My go to review website is Wirecutter from NYT's and hands down when I needed a new frother (which btw I use for everything...matcha, homemade salad dressing, zen basil seeds...) they had raving reviews for this frother.

I've had it for a few months and it holds up to the hype. Even when I add my creatine powder to my matcha...no lumps!

As always, my goal is to share tools that truly support your health and well-being—clean, effective, and aligned with living vibrantly. I hope these favorites inspire you to try something new or elevate your daily rituals. Remember, it’s the small, consistent choices that create lasting change. Wishing you a month of nourishment, clarity, and ease.

With wellness and warmth,

Karen

The one where they are still performing, still leading, still executing… but something underneath feels frayed. The edge is sharper. The reactivity is quicker. The healthy habits that used to feel non-negotiable start to slip. Sleep shortens.Workouts become inconsistent.Meditation becomes “I’ll get back to it when...

Kindness and a recipe...

Full Capacity Living... This morning I was sitting nearby while my husband had a virtual appointment about his shoulder pain. I half-listened while doing other things — until I realized he wasn’t just answering questions. He was connecting. He does this so well. He values deeper conversations not just surface news, weather and sports and for that I very much appreciate him. At the end of the call, he paused and told the provider how much he appreciated the time he had taken. He said, “I can...
