Dr. Maya Shetreat:

Microdosing, Master Plants and Sacred Ceremony

Welcome to Full Capacity Living Podcast...If you are new here Welcome!

Hang on..the conversation around master plants and microdosing may be new to you but it's worth a listen and fascinating!

My podcast episodes in general dig deep into health and wellness informed through the lens of Functional Medicine.

As a board certified functional medicine health coach who has worked with some of the best and brightest, my mission is to empower and inform those taking control of their health and shifting the healthcare paradigm one conversation at a time.

The podcast is about cultivating conversations with cutting edge leaders and every day people making the world and our lives better each moment through nutrition, mindfulness, health, spirituality, habit change and more. You will come away with new ideas and practical ways to elevate your life to the highest level.

My latest conversation is with Dr. Maya Shetreat who is a conventionally trained Neurologist.

She has an incredible story of moving from the world of conventional medicine into the world of herbalism, master plants, quantum healing and so much more.

Her traditional medical training compliments a very balanced way of looking at healing with indigenous master plants.

We dive into the connection between physical healing, spiritual healing, the science around the gut microbiome and master plants. Her story weaves in new ways of thinking about healing that she teaches to other practitioners.

Her book “The Master Plant Experience: the Science, safety and sacred ceremony of psychedelics” is really the catalyst for this conversation.

We talk about micro dosing, macro dosing, quantum dosing (her term and to learn about this listen to the end!!) plant medicine from a whole new perspective and how we really can’t separate out the spiritual healing portion of what is happening in our bodies

What she shares with us is that our physical illnesses are a downstream effect of a spiritual misalignment.

She tells us about her son’s illness, seizure and how this led her to Ecuador to a medicine retreat(which was very different than what she expected) and the learning experience that forever changed her approach to healing.

I do hope you enjoy this and all of the previous podcast episodes on Full Capacity Living Podcast. This is our 30th podcast episode!

The one where they are still performing, still leading, still executing… but something underneath feels frayed. The edge is sharper. The reactivity is quicker. The healthy habits that used to feel non-negotiable start to slip. Sleep shortens.Workouts become inconsistent.Meditation becomes “I’ll get back to it when...

Full Capacity Living... Electrolytes—minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride—help regulate fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle contraction. They can be incredibly supportive in certain situations, but they’re not something everyone needs every day. Below is a simple way to think about when they can help and when to step back. Kindness and a recipe...

Full Capacity Living... This morning I was sitting nearby while my husband had a virtual appointment about his shoulder pain. I half-listened while doing other things — until I realized he wasn’t just answering questions. He was connecting. He does this so well. He values deeper conversations not just surface news, weather and sports and for that I very much appreciate him. At the end of the call, he paused and told the provider how much he appreciated the time he had taken. He said, “I can...
